Our hatching eggs come from breeding flocks here at Wandering Shepherd Farmstead and are offered for customers looking to hatch chicks from carefully kept birds. Eggs are collected, handled, and packed with care, with attention given to freshness, cleanliness, and safe transport.

Wandering Shepherd Farmstead is NPIP certified under NPIP58-3426-E. NPIP participation means our flock is part of the National Poultry Improvement Plan, a poultry health monitoring program used for testing and flock certification.

These are fertile eggs intended for incubation. Hatch rates are not guaranteed due to shipping, handling, incubator settings, temperature swings, humidity, and other factors outside our control once eggs leave the farm.

Collected and packed with care from our farm breeding flocks for homestead hatchers, small flock owners, and customers wanting hatching eggs from an NPIP-certified source.

Hatching Egg Shipping Note

For the best chance of maintaining egg viability, we recommend UPS Next Day Air whenever available. Faster delivery reduces the time eggs spend exposed to handling, vibration, and temperature changes during transit.

Other priority shipping options are available for customers seeking a more affordable rate. However, the longer hatching eggs remain in transit, the greater the potential impact on fertility and hatch success.

All eggs are carefully packed before leaving Wandering Shepherd Farmstead, but shipping conditions are outside our control. Purchasing hatching eggs does not guarantee a successful hatch.
