Brooksville,FL 🥚 Poultry Program

Local only poultry offerings from Wandering Shepherd Farmstead. Explore our NPIP selection of heritage American Bresse and Rainbow Mix chickens, raised with care here on our Florida farmstead. This page is specifically for our local community, with poultry options available by local pickup, approved local delivery, or direct farmstead coordination. American Bresse are a practical heritage choice for anyone wanting a true dual-purpose bird, known for rich table quality, calm temperament, and sustainable flock value. Rainbow Mix chickens bring the fun side of the flock, with colorful feather variety, personality, and the exciting chance of different egg colors as they grow. Availability may include chicks, starter flock options, young birds, pullets, or laying hens depending on hatch schedules, grow-out timing, flock needs, and season. Because these are live animals, availability must be confirmed before pickup. We do not operate like a warehouse, and each inquiry is handled with care so timing, bird readiness, and pickup details are right.

Local Sheep for Sale in Brooksville, FL

Our sheep are offered on a limited, seasonal basis as our flock grows, lambs are weaned, and genetic pairings shift with real farm timing. At Wandering Shepherd Farmstead, we focus on hardy, practical hair sheep suited for small farms, homesteads, pasture management, flock building, and meat-focused programs. Our flock may include Katahdin, Dorper, or Katahdin/Dorper crosses depending on the season and current availability. These sheep are valued for their hardiness, usefulness on pasture, and ability to fit into working farmstead systems without the maintenance of wool. Availability may include lambs, growing sheep, intact ram lambs, ewe lambs, proven rams, or select breeding prospects depending on weaning, flock needs, and overall fit. Because these are live animals, this page is for local buyers only, and all availability must be confirmed before pickup. We do not operate like a livestock warehouse. Around here, sheep availability depends on lambing, weaning, pasture, flock goals, and making sure the animal is ready for its next pasture.

Hercules

Hercules

Proven Dorper Ram
Hercules is a proven Dorper ram now available through no fault of his own. He has done his job well here at Wandering Shepherd Farmstead and has helped move our flock forward, but it is time for us to make a genetic swap and bring in new bloodlines. He is best suited for someone looking to add a working ram to a small farm, homestead, or breeding program. Hercules has already proven himself as a breeder, so this is not a “wait and see” ram. He is being offered because of flock management and genetic rotation, not because of health, temperament, or performance concerns.
